This song doesn't sound like our other ones.

That's alright though, isn't it?

This song has come from a very real place in my heart. It is presented without irony, malice or pretension. Lacking any allusions to modern life, it’s a song that’s supposed to sound like it could have been written anytime in the last several hundred years. I would not be so arrogant as to use the term ‘timeless’, but it’s what we’ve tried to evoke. We wanted the melody to sound like something you’ve always known, just never heard before.

It’s a song that’s supposed to sound like home.

It was produced by fellow Adelaide musician Matthew Vecchio and features the choir vocals of Caitlin Feagan, aka Kado. There is a worrying lack of noisy synthesisers from our end, but we’ve been sure to present you with enough mandolins, lush string sounds and delicate piano melodies to make your heart full.

It’s about hope.
